Fishing

The lochs at Corrour provide splendid surroundings for the fisherman. The Lochs contain wild brown trout in abundance and the angler can enjoy catching baskets of beautifully marked loch trout. The lochs are suitable for wet fly or dapping and are excellent places to introduce young anglers to the sport. The loch also has modern fishing boats, complete with electric outboards. In the reedy bays on the west end of Loch Ossian lurk some spectacular specimens of wild pike, with the largest fish being caught and returned in excess of 30lbs. In the rivers, trout are prolific and an amusing afternoon can be spent fishing for these sporting little fish. Although trout of more than 2lbs have been caught, the average catch is likely to be large in number and small in size.

Some Skye trout were introduced to Loch na Lap many years ago, the largest fish being caught there in recent years was in excess of 4lbs. The Estate has its own smoker, which allows you to enjoy these wonderful, pink-fleshed trout prepared in a number of different ways. Boat hire and fishing permits can be arranged along with a cottage booking or by the day for an additional charge.

Boats

Boats can be hired through the Estate Office and are fully equipped. Instruction will also be given prior to taking the boats on the Loch in relation to safety and operation.

Canoeing

Loch Ossian is a paradise for small boats, it is more than three miles long and has bays and islands to explore - so why not try this in our versatile Canadian canoes? These can be hired via the Estate office for an additional charge

Clay Pigeon Shooting

Clay pigeon shooting and rifle range instruction can be arranged with all the necessary equipment for hire. Why not try our sporting layout, featuring a 25 bird compact layout?
