Dogspotting

Corrour / 10th May 2017

One of Corrour’s claims to fame is that we appeared in the 1996 Danny Boyle film Trainspotting, starring Ewan McGregor, Ewan Bremner, Johnny Lee Miller and Robert Carlyle. The scene shot at Corrour features Ewan McGregor’s character, Rent Boy, sharing his views on the difficulties of being Scottish (for those not familiar with the film, this scene, and in fact the whole film, are perhaps not suitable for our younger friends!).

Every year we get a small but steady stream of dedicated Trainspotting fans who come to re-enact the famous scene. Indeed, in 2016 McGregor and his co-stars revisited the Estate to film part of Trainspotting 2, on the very-same bridge.

We decided to do our own bit of re-enacting, with Lochan, Morvern and Webley taking the lead roles!
