Wilderness

Corrour is a remote 57,000 acre Highland estate on the edge of Rannoch Moor. The nearest public road is 17 miles from our train station, Corrour – a stop in the middle of nowhere. Before the nineteenth century, it was a wilderness where shepherds summered their flocks of sheep and drovers took their cattle to market. Today, it is  a sporting estate that combines gentle and thoughtful land management with traditional Scottish values of hospitality and inclusivity.

A warm welcome awaits all guests and walkers. The lodge and eight holiday houses combine old-fashioned appeal with modern comforts – cosy rooms, roaring fires and plenty of hot water for your bath, too! We even have WiFi – though Corrour is perfect for a digital detox…

With beautiful landscapes, abundant wildlife, peaceful nights, and remarkable starscapes, Corrour is the ultimate wilderness escape.
